This is a family-scale farm built around curiosity, stewardship, good food and the conviction that useful old places deserve another chapter.

Merritt's Farm began with a simple question: what should this old stock pond be doing now?
The answer was not to turn it into something unrecognizable. It was to learn from what it had been—a productive piece of a family landscape—and find a crop that made sense today.
For the Merritts, that means experimenting carefully, learning the water, doing the physical work of restoring the pond and ultimately sharing something exceptional from it. The farm is intentionally personal. We want people who eat our prawns to know there is a real pond, a real family and a very short story between the water and the plate.
